Who says entertainment is just fun and games? There are literally a
thousand different details that have to be taken care of before the
curtain rises on a theatrical production.
The Theatre Guild has been producing plays and musicals in the
Chippewa Valley for over twenty years! From costumes, to lighting,
to sets, each show has a unique set of needs and an unyielding
deadline. If you‘ve ever been part of a show, you know there's
planned chaos backstage as the cast applies make-up, checks props and adjusts costumes. The backstage crew sets the
stage, completes sound checks and corrals cast members for warm-ups.
And all this happens while the lobby and box office is readied for a
wave of theatre patrons.

Because people wait to purchase tickets until the last minute, we often
times don't have an accurate count for the number of programs we will need
until the day or two before a show opens. Fortunately, DigiCopy's excellent
staff is there to help us! We can now order our programs within days or
sometimes hours before a performance. In years past, we had to guess a week
to ten days out for the total number of show bills we needed for the entire
run of a show. This often led to one of two scenarios, either we had too
many programs, which wasted precious money, or we were stuck with too few
and were forced to beg the
printer to produce more (but not on Saturdays or Sundays because they were
not open.)

it, even during the weekend! We only pay for what we need, we can guarantee
everyone gets a program and we can make last minute additions without a problem.
